Looking from the back porch, you can see this snow isn't as bad as it was on
January 30th. They say that we got about 1/2 inch. BUT, the problem was that it rained all last evening so when the temperatures dropped after midnight, everything turned to ice.
So, my office called at 6am to say that we were delayed 1 hour and Barry decided not to risk leaving until 7. As we're driving (very slowly, I may add) on the side roads to get to the interstate, we find out that they have CLOSED the interstate! Over 30 accidents were reported in about a 15 mile stretch. So, we ended up taking Hwy. 70 to Nashville. It was a very long drive -- it took more than 1 hour.
Here's the view from my office window. Can you see it snowing?! It really is! It's not too bad though because we finally did get our pizza lunch (since it was a snow day)! The problem will be with another night of below freezing temps. Tomorrow the high is 31. We'll see what happens!
