Playing Toys

The boys were hanging out helping Daddy feel better and playing with Zach's toys. Of course, Nathan has claimed both the monkey rattle and the keys as his. He slept with the monkey and the keys have locked and unlocked a variety of things (mostly involving horses!).
Zach can get a hold of the keys and shake them some.

Monkey Love

It's fun when the boys wear the same clothes and here's another example!

Nathan wore this first! :) 2012

With Nana

Nana came to the rescue and helped us last week when we were struggling so much due to Barry's injury. So we got to see her two weeks in a row!

She was snuggling with Zach after church Sunday. Thanks, Nana!!

Dedication

We were so glad to be able to have Zach's dedication at a time when my parents could come.  As well, we had our good friend Lora and our friends Robert and Jackie join us at the church.  Our friend, Millie Ann (in the wheel chair) pledged to pray for Zach for a year as part of the dedication.

The whole weekend was for baby dedications so not only did Zach get dedicated, but many other children did as well.
Whew! We made it without crying (which would be an atypical response for Zach, but you never know!).

Big Brother/Little Brother

The boys wore their brother shirts today. They are doing real well as brothers. Of course it's more of a challenge for Nathan but he's trying.

This was at the end of the day - Zach made it the whole day (although his shirt is quite damp!) and they're sitting together

Yummy Fingers

Zach loves his fingers! It's great to see him growing and exploring.

                          Yum!
Nathan's new thing is to ask each night "What us having?" If it's not something he thinks he likes, he'll ask what he's having. Then, at home, he will occasionally help Daddy with dinner   He's being a great helper while Daddy's been down.

Hand Raising

Pick me!!!

Poor thing has been suffering with reflux. It's been a whole situation with his medicine and we had to switch to a different one that seems to make him spit up more.
Hopefully we can get this resolved soon.

Fist

This is Zach's new trick-- see how much of his hand he can get in his mouth.

Can you fit your fist in your mouth?!

3 Months Old

We're a few days late with our official 3 month picture but we're proud of his growth even though we don't know his specific measurements.

Even Nathan snuck in one of the pictures.
There it is! The official 3 month picture!

Helping Daddy Recouperate

Barry had been having lower back pain since mid-September, but this week was the culmination. Wednesday he was hit with such intense pain that we had to take to the doctor. He stayed home Thursday and Friday and is hoping to be back Monday.

Smile in Action

I don't know if it's just my memory, but I don't remember Nathan being as smiley as Zach.  Zach just lights up when he sees you as you can see in this short clip.

Two for Tuesday

We have to capitalize on all the cuteness, right?!
In pulling out the next sized clothing for Zach (yes, he's outgrown most Newborn clothes), I find several fun summery outfits that we needed to sneak in before the cold weather totally set in. Here's one of those outfits:

Zach - almost 3 months old

Nathan - almost 3 months old, May 2012

Hanging Around

We found this cool tree and snapped a few pictures of the boys.

With the birthday boy - Papa!

Zach's expressions are comical! He got poop everywhere at one point so the socks were history.

In Huntsville

Two special people were going to be celebrating their birthdays this coming week so we thought it would be good to meet up and celebrate!

So after church we headed out to Huntsville and spent the afternoon with my parents. We had lunch together and then went to the park that we always go to.

Nathan remembered feeding the ducks but decided the fish were less aggressive and wanted to feed them instead.

We had to go quite a ways away from the main portion of the pond so the ducks wouldn't bother us.
It was a little chilly so Nana bundled Zach in her coat.
Finally! Well there is the one duck!

My Aunt Spoils Me

Who wouldn't want that to be true of them?!  We had a bit of cool weather come through and for the first time, a Stevens boy was able to wear this fun shirt.  Nathan was actually the one to receive it, but the weather never cooperated for him to wear it.

We definitely have some great aunts who show love to our boys!  Thanks! :)
