It's Cow Time!

We pass this farm on our way to small group.  We stopped a couple weeks ago and watched the cows and decided to do it again today.

We tried several times to moo but the cows never responded.  They were very interested in us and came over toward us.  Nathan loved it! :)

Sorting Laundry

Doesn't he fit in with the whites?!

Barry was working on sorting out the laundry and wherever you have an open basket there's sure to be a baby or cat in it.  Nathan thought it was great fun to have the laundry thrown at him while he sat in the basket.  What a goof!

Football Friday Fun!

Daddy got new shoes and Nathan decided he needed to wear them.  In fact he picked them up and moved them to where he could get to them easier.

Doesn't this match my outfit?!

[The shoes are really that bright obnoxious orange color!  You can see Barry coming a mile a way.]

It came!

We have been waiting 2 weeks for this leg to come!!!!  After purchasing a table with only 3 legs, we ordered the missing leg only to be sent 4 plastic wheels.  The company made it right, but we still had to wait for the right package to come.
 Putting it all together...
 Testing it out
Playing Legos!

He's already colored and played on it multiple times.  What a find! :)

Getting Ready for the Day

Don't you wish that you could start your day off sitting in your daddy's lap reading books and catching up on the weather? :)

Most days you'll find them in this spot for a few minutes before the final push to get out the door.

Happy Wednesday!

Two for Tuesday

 Wild bed head! :)

Helping Daddy do the dishes
[He actually dried a bunch of things!]

Since we were gone over the weekend, it took a little bit to get back on track for the week.  We had a dish washing party after dinner so that we could get everything washed up.  Go, us! :)

Visit with Nana & Papa

We took a quick trip down to Huntsville on Sunday to meet up with my mom and dad.  Nathan was super excited to see them and had a great time playing and exploring.

We went to a park downtown and walked around (although it was a bit chilly) and then walked around a couple stores.
Nathan got his "Papa" fix! :)

Watching the Ducks

We went to a park with my parents in Huntsville and Nathan was infatuated with the ducks!

Too much fun! :)

Happy Boy

[Sorry for the blurriness, but someone wouldn't stay still!]

What a difference a few days makes!  Our little guy seems to be back to his normal self -- talking and playing without a care in the world.  Previous to the glasses, we were to the point that a paci was only needed at bedtime and sometimes in the car, but with this change he was crying for it all the time.  Thank goodness we are back to somewhat of a normal place.

Hope you're off to a great Friday!

Reading with Daddy

All cleaned up from his bath and in his jammies, reading books with Daddy!

They read at least 10 books from Spot to the Easter story.  What a great way to end the day!

Wednesday Fun

"Can I take your order?"

What a way to be greeted in the morning! :)

Two for Tuesday

Nathan and I wore our green for Monday (someone else didn't though).  He had a rough morning Monday and also Tuesday.  In fact, I was questioning our tactics today because it seemed nothing we did made any difference.  It's tough, but he did great at daycare so we shall see what Wednesday holds.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Sunday Funday

We got to spend the whole day together on Sunday.  It was great!  After having been out late Saturday night, it was nice to be lazy and hang out together.  Our small group was cancelled since it's spring break so we had a grand time together.  Nathan seemed to be getting the importance of wearing his glasses so we'll see how it goes this week.  Please pray for us!

Glasses

Our little guy has entered the world of glasses. :(

Poor thing.  He doesn't look too excited, does he?

Barry and I were invited to a retirement dinner, so we took a family pic before we left to take Nathan to the babysitter's.
Everybody's got glasses now!

Little Lion

[Sorry for the quality, but when you have a squiggly lion, it's hard to get a good shot!]

Nathan LOVES to roar like a lion.  In fact, it's at least a daily occurrence. :0
We found some diapers that have lions on them and that's what he wears when he goes off to daycare.
Hope you have a roartastic Thursday!

[For those of you not up on the children's program Henry Hugglemonster, that is something that he would say!]

Two for Tuesday

He shoots, he scores!
Every time that we come into daycare, Nathan is talking about balls.  He loves to go over and find the basket of balls and try and take one with him.  This week he's been especially excited to try to shoot the ball into the basket and then very upset when we have to put them up and go into the classroom.

I couldn't resist posting this one.
Can you believe it was two years ago?!

Coloring with Markers

Nathan's been coloring with markers at daycare so we thought it would be a good thing to try at home.  I got a set of washable markers for 97 cents at Walmart and couldn't pass it up.  He colored 3 pictures in one setting (quite a feet for a toddler with a short attention span!).  He is drawn to black as the color of choice!

Table & Chairs

We've been searching for a child's size table and chairs that Nathan can have and use.  We've looked several places and they've been at the lowest $50.  So, we were very surprised to find one that was $20 (brand new).  The only problem is the table is missing a leg.  So, we're working on contacting the company to get a replacement leg.  In any case, the chairs work wonderfully and they're light enough that Nathan can carry them around the house!

Ta da!

Ta da! I will wave my magic yardstick and you will turn into... maybe a goat or cow?  Those seem to be his favorite animals right now!

Nathan had an eye doctor appointment yesterday with a specialist and had his eyes dilated.  We left the office and were hardly a mile away when he started throwing up.  I pulled over and tried to clean him up and realized that we would get to spend the day together!  He was still feeling yucky after his nap, but started eating and drinking back normally not long after.  Since it hadn't been 24 hours yet after the experience when we were ready to go to daycare today, he had to stay home again.

This little guy will be sporting glasses in the near future as the first step in trying to combat an eye that is showing it could be a lazy one. :(

Two for Tuesday

The wintery weather...
Nathan's been into holding several different items when he goes around -- either in the house or into the car.  Since he had to wear his gloves, he had the items in his coat pockets.  So, that's the reason for the funny way he's holding his belly.
You can see the ice on the cement pad which was much worse by the steps into the house.  We had to be very careful!  We were thankful to be safe at home yesterday and not have any concerns for getting stuck anywhere.  Hope you were safe too!

Winter Day Fun

See, I told you that the weather would change!
We didn't get to go to work today because there was bad ice.
Instead, we got to freeze at home!
Nathan thought it was awesome to be able to eat his lunch at the coffee table while watching TV.
It's the little things, right?!

Family Pic

We are so glad for the nicer weather.  We had to get out and play when we got home from church.  It was just beautiful!

We're still working through the cold snaps -- I think much of the USA is -- but we'll take the warm days when we can!

Final Birthday Gift

Since we had gotten the set of Legos from cousins in SD, we decided to use the gift from our neighbors to purchase a set that came with a handy box.
Nathan was very excited about playing with these and loves the animals that came along with it.
[He especially LOVES the goat!]
He can build with the best of them!
