A set of 6

I found these really cute frog stickers! I used a variety of papers, some ribbon, 3-d dots to make this all come together! These ones are the thank yous.
I tried to make this not so gender specific, but what can you do?! I used a sticker tag thing for the one on the left, I created a circle embellisment on the middle one, and made up a simple happy birthday on the right one. Green is everywhere!

A co-worker requested a set of 6 cards with green as the main color. I made 3 that were Happy Birthday and 3 that were thank yous. I found these really cool bags in the Christmas stuff last year -- I think 75% off -- and I put the cards in that. It'll be a good gift for her friend.

Various Cards

Here's a card that I made for a family at church. I used a fall-ish paper, and then a burgandy organdy ribbon. Their last name is Dash and then I wrote across the bottom God's blessings to your family.
This one has the same paper, but I used a different ribbon that was orange & white loops. I'm going to send this one to my friend in Indiana. I used cardstock to make the card that will fit in some yellow envelopes that I have. These two cards are about 3"x5".

This one is based off a vellum quote that's by Victor Hugo, "A mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them." I used a blue and purple striped paper and then used purple paper for accents. I had a heart brad that I put through the top of the vellum portion. This last card was made to cheer up a friend who is going through her second round of chemo. I used a Suzy's Zoo character as the basis for the colors. The paper is hot pink plaid with a green stripe. I used green paper across the bottom and a pink ribbon with polka dots along the left side. I did a pink flower with an orange middle like on the duck's dress. Inside I wrote, "Hi, friend!"

I made these four cards Sunday afternoon while Barry watched football. It was a little difficult, because I kept thinking that I should make one for my grandma. I guess I have more opportunities to encourage others now.

A few projects

My former co-worker, Martha, asked me to make up some gift cards that have a giraffe on them. This is what I came up with. I based the colors off the giraffes that I found. The little sticker is put on a circle that I punched. I rubbed the edges on an ink pad so it has the orange hue. I wrote happy birthday! with my calligraphy pen. The ribbons are adhered with tape on the edges. I glued it all down to a piece of white card stock. I made up 12 and they are approx. 2" x 4".
This is an overdue thank you card for a family that had us over for a pot-luck. I used 7 different types of paper. I used some orange organdy ribbon on the top square. I used some different ribbon down on the bottom square and put a D for their last name. I put some 3-d tape under the D to make it stand out.

Here's one of the little 2"x3" cards where I've decorated the one side and left the other blank for a note. I used 5 different papers. I did two different squares underneath the JL. I put ribbon underneath that. It turned out pretty cute.

A little thinking of you

I wanted to do something special for someone and so I got this little monster. I made a card 2"x3" to go with it. I covered it with 2 types of paper. I cut the green paper with special scissors that cut like a wave. I wrote praying 4 u and then her name at the bottom. I used a sheer green ribbon to connect it to the little monster's arm. I think she'll like it.

Birthday Wishes

We celebrated my niece's birthday over the weekend even though her birthday was actually this past Tuesday. My sister made the Hello Kitty cake and we sang Happy Birthday at least a half dozen times through the day. She was a little embarrassed when we sang to her and she was ready to change out of her birthday shirt right after the party!

We had a good time.

Cute notepad

Here's a little gift I made up for my neice. We're going for her birthday party this coming weekend. I covered the front of a 3 1/2 x 5 inch notepad with 6 different papers, purple organdy ribbon, and bubble letters. I used a heart punch as well. I think that she'll like it! :)

Baby Aaron Pics

The shirt reads, "Grandpa's right hand man."

The happy family!

Me and baby Aaron!

I had tried to upload more pictures on Friday while I was waiting for Barry to get me from work, but ran out of time. So, finally, two weeks later, here are another installment of Aaron pics! :)

Sad news this week. My grandma died. She hasn't been well the last couple years and had moved into a nursing home, but it was unexpected for her to die this week. She had pneumonia and her lungs were full of fluid. I didn't get to go for the funeral, but plan to go some time next year to the grave site. She was ready to meet her Lord & Savior and I'm glad she's not in pain any longer.
