More tags!

I had showed a mock-up of what I thought the tags were going to look like, but here they are (sort of)! I am in the midst of getting the 70 of them completed. My goal is to get them done tonight so we shall see.
I have to still punch the hole for the ribbon and add the reference for the verse. But,... I'm close!
The hearts compliment the back of the tag and turned out fairly well. I am trying to keep within the same theme as the pencil cards.
What do you think?!

Veggie Tray

Pampered Chef party, here I come! My co-worker is having a party tonight and I volunteered to help out with some of the food. My contribution is a veggie tray. It took half an hour to cut up all the vegetables! WoW! I was surprised it took that long. Anyway, they looked beautiful so I snapped a pic.

I have a bowl of ranch dip for the middle. Hope it's a great time.

Runzas

Here they are in the pan just before heading into the oven.

Runzas are bread dough with ground beef, cabbage, and onion. They are a Swedish recipe and a favorite in my family. Barry is not so keen on them, but will put up with them every once in a while. My sister told me about a short cut -- use the Pillsbury's pizza dough in a can. It sure cuts the time down in making them. Yum!

Anniversary Card

We've just been regularly involved in a small group at our church.  One of the couples just had an anniversary so I made up this card.
I used a quote that I've used a couple times already -- There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved -- from Charles Morgan.  I used the format that I've been doing recently with the 4 different papers.  Inside I wrote in calligraphy, "Happy Anniversary!"  It was so nice to do a card during the day and I got the picture in the window.  It was a nice sunny day.

Love tags

My co-worker that asked me to make the "Love One Another" cards to hold the pencils has asked me to make gift tags.  I made these up to show her what I was thinking and to get her opinion.

So, she wants me to make the writing bigger and to switch the direction of the tag.  Tonight, I got more supplies to make the 68 that she needs.  I'll be working on these for the next couple weeks.

Thanks

For work, we are going through Microsoft Office 2007 training at a training center about 15 minutes away from our office.  Since we just have one car, I asked one of the ladies if she wouldn't mind me riding with her.  So, I made this little card 3 1/2"x 3 1/2" to express my thanks.  I used a cardboard "t" and then wrote the rest in my favorite font.  I added some ribbon at the bottom.  The paper has dresses all over it.

Despite being in the class all day, we are planning on going to the farmer's market (which has a food court) for lunch.  Should be good.

Martha's Retirement

Laurie & I stopped for a couple quick pictures before going in for Martha's retirement dinner at the Marriott.  Martha had worked with the company for 26 years!  It was a nice evening.

Cards

I finished up the cards that my co-worker ordered up.  I made a total of 12 (two originally-- one of each design).  They cost a little more than I expected, but I'll probably just eat the extra since I already gave her a quote.  Hope they'll turn out just like she wanted.  (Remember she's adding the pencil to them.)

You are Loved!

Bev's birthday

It's another co-worker's birthday and we're celebrating with cake & ice cream. I just made a yellow cake and put chocolate icing on it. Turned out pretty good. Hope it tastes as good as it looks!

Birthday Card

I made this little card - 3"x3" to go with the gift I got for my friend. It was a green mug with brown writing -- Trust & an ichthys. So I tried to imitate it a little on the card. What do you think?

Making Cards

I'm in the process of making 10 more of the Love cards for my co-worker.  You can see how I'm trying to get all the pieces together to make the final product.  I've gotten the purple cards started (top left corner) with ribbon and flower.  I wrote up the Dear Sister part as well.
Here I'm trying to get the pencil holder part ready.  I cut down the pearl paper with the funky scissors and hole-punched the 2 holes.  Now, I've added the embossed heart shape to the sides.  I'm expecting to finish out the pearl paper stuff so that I can continue gluing the other pieces together.  I'll have them done for Monday so that my co-worker can do as she planned with them.

Love Project

A co-worker asked me to create a card that she could give out & attach a pencil to.  I came up with these two for her to see on Monday.  She wants me to make a total of 12.  I'm sure that each one will be a little different, but for now this is what I have.  Hopefully it'll be just what she wants!

Happy Birthday, Dawn!

A dear friend turned 30 today and we are invited to a family party.  I made a poster to hang on her house door and then this little card (3 1/2"x 3 1/2") to go with her gift.  I just used some Happy Birthday paper, pink organdy ribbon, a plastic d, and a little swirl.  Inside I wrote Happy Birthday (in my favorite font).  We're planning on giving her a basket of goodies & will stop on our way home to get the basket at Hobby Lobby.
