Poor Thing!

Here's a shot of Zachy as he's sleeping to the last possible moment in the morning.
What a sweetie pie!

Even Cooler Weather

Today it was cool enough that I put Zach in pants. He looked at them and tried to figure out why in the world they were so long! It was fun to see his reaction and move around with them on. It's a bit much for him as he tends to catch his shoe on the pant leg which adds another bump or two to what he has already with his wobbliness.

What are these, Momma?

Two for Tuesday

It was chilly enough today that we had to pull out jackets today.  A cold snap is coming through and the rest of the week is anticipated to be chilly.
9/18/15 What sweet boys I have! :)

Climbing Rocks

I know you're waiting on pins and needles to know how the boys slept through the night. Nathan slept till 5:25am today! Woo hoo!  It was awesome.

It was a church day so it was inevitable that Nathan would ask to climb on the rocks. He's getting better at navigating on the rocks himself. What a big boy!

Hope you've rested today and are ready for a good week!

Chuck E. E's

Have you been to Chuck E. E's? :)
Ever since we went to Chuck E. Cheese with Aunt Michelle and Brianna in August 2015, Nathan has been wanting to go back. We'd drive by one and he'd call out asking to go.

So today was the day! He got an invitation from a friend from church to come to her party at the beginning of September and has been counting down the days. He woke up at 1am and then again at 4am (for the day!) and just couldn't wait to go.
 Zachy loved the Jeep

Nathan was playing soccer

Nathan picked out two horses, a snake, and a sheriff's badge with his tickets.

He got very upset during the party because it was super loud (they asked everyone to see how loud they could cheer) and he just couldn't handle it. It was unfortunate because he was doing so well (even with Chuck E.) and had been looking forward to it for so long. We'll have to see if there's a day we can go that won't be with so many people and let him see it's okay.

He was so wiped that he went to bed at 6:15. Seriously. 6:15! He ate one bite of dinner, said he was too tired, and came with me to get into his pjs and go to bed. Twenty minutes later when I took Zach to bed (he was exhausted too!), no peep was heard from either. We'll see what tomorrow will hold!

[Aren't you proud that I got caught up?! I hope that I can stay back on track.  I hate missing out on the little things that I would have written if it had just happened.]

Flashback Friday

It's the end of our trip to Sioux Falls!
5/27/16 Last hugs with the cousins
5/28/16 Visit to Lincoln, Nebraska and grandparents' gravestone
5/29/16 Stop at Land Between the Lakes, skipping rocks
5/29 Nathan insisted on wearing his pjs the last day travelling home
Putting our toes in the water
We managed one last smile... It was a looooong trip home!

Playing Ball

Several days this week, the boys have gone out to play ball. It definitely gets Nathan's extra energy out and the boys get to be together outside while I'm making dinner.

Isn't it so cute, he's sitting with his ankles crossed?!

Two for Tuesday

Zachy was wiped (as he typically is in the morning) and despite diapering and dressing him, he still was determined to sleep. Nathan decided he needed to show some love to Zachy and help him wake up. Typically, Nathan can't understand why Zach won't wake up and will ask multiple times, why won't he get up. The difference between a morning person and not.

Boys Playing

They kept passing the train back and forth and giggling so much that I had to take a video. Nathan tries so hard to get Zach to laugh and for the most part he's successful. Silly boys!

Sports Boy

This little guy is growing up and getting into all sorts of things. He fell off the back porch on Saturday night and it scabbed up really well. Poor thing. His forehead continues to have bruises as he falls forward quite often.
Today - Tigers Boy

A different Tigers outfit, and waiting for Brother and Daddy to come back in after loading up the car.

Flashback Friday

May 26, 2016
We checked out the zoo in Sioux Falls and enjoyed seeing different animals than we have in Nashville.
Checking out the monkeys with Uncle Jeremy
 The whole crew
(Nathan really wanted to see a pig and they had some in the farm area.)

The giraffes were licking the fencing. It was weird.
I love my Sioux Falls family!
 Nathan with bison
Zachy with bison
It was a great time! :) We ate lunch in a park outside of the zoo which was a hit for the kids. Nathan has reflected back on this zoo trip several times because Jeremy's zoo had elephants.

Writing His Name

Nathan continues to practice his name and he's getting better and better.  He's mostly writing the letters with just a bit of prompting on how to write them. He's adjusting more to the new class and working toward a week's worth of happy faces so that he can get a flying horse. (Isn't that what you'd want?!)

The Boys

This sweetie pie is all over the place as he gets better and better at walking.
Look at the handsome fellows today and just over a year ago.
What changes!

Quick Visit

Papa and Nana came Sunday afternoon for a very quick visit. We needed to talk through some things so they played with the boys and hung out with us until the boys' bedtime. Then we were able to talk!

Unfortunately, whatever the issue was, we don't know, but Zachy decided from 9:30pm- 12:30am he didn't need to sleep and no one else did either. It was crazy. Papa and Nana left when we left for work so that they could make it back for Dad to work his shift at CFA. Whew! It was a quick trip..

Playing Outside

With Zach's increase in mobility, he wants to be out and doing things. I think, too, we have been more comfortable with being outside and going for walks. These boys are growing up!

Flashback Friday

[Whew! It's been busy around here. Sorry I got behind again :( but stick with me and I'll get caught back up.]

Last Flashback, I showed you how brave Nathan was as he rode the horse. Today, we'll continue on with our trip in Sioux Falls to a Western standard - buffalo!

Along with the buffalo area, the owner had created a 1800's frontier town. He had collected all sorts of historical items and there were boards up with information on what was in each spot. The land had a long history too as the Native Americans had some tribal ritual there. It was a pretty neat experience.

We have a Walker!

Somehow today it clicked. Maybe it's because he was finally feeling better today after a bout of teething and stomach issues. Who knows what it was, but today he is walking all over the place. It was super fun to see. What a big boy! 14 months today.

Dinosaur Boys

I wanted to get a picture of the boys since they both had dinosaur t-shirts on, but we were short on time as we tried to leave for the day.
We tried outside, but obviously the tire was more interesting to Zach.
Here we go... Dinosaur boys :)

Two for Tuesday

We decided to pull out some other toys for the boys to play with and they loved it!

We have two little boys... How did that happen?

Monday Catch-up

Barry was dancing in his chair at dinner and making Zach laugh which is why at the end he starts dancing too. It was hilarious to see him bopping around.
Zachy, almost 14 months
(I roared to get him to smile... It's pretty funny to see him chuckle.)
Nathan - 14 months old, April 2013
