Small Gift Bags

Here are the smaller gift bags that I did up for the booth at the mall.  I also have an order from a co-worker for a set of these to use for Christmas gifts.  I tried to do a variety of occasions so that they may be appealing to the masses.  We'll see how they do!

Sets

I'm trying to restock for the booth that my mom is keeping up in Alabama.  Here are some Christmas sets that I made up.  I don't quite know if people will see that they go together, but I can't think of a way to put them together so people can tell they fit.  Maybe my mom will figure it out.  We're hoping for big things from this!

Another birthday card

Here's another simple card. I did two types of sheer ribbon and then put a cool present embellishment on the front. The inside says "Blessings on your special day!"

Our booth

I wasn't there to help out, but my mom and sister set up a booth for us. Krazy Krafters is our name -- the double k's because my mom's maiden name is Kats. The booth is 8x10 and is an upgrade from the set of bookshelves that we had previously been renting.

The booth has all kinds of hand-made items. Bows, stitching, socks, knitted scarves & hats, various country knick-knack items, jewelry, baby items, and my paper stuff.

The booth is at a flea market/antique mall that is in an old grocery store in a shopping center. There are tons of booths in the mall, and we're hoping that having this bigger space in December will help people see we're there. Go take a gander if you ever happen to be in Leeds, AL (east of Birmingham).

Wishing you. . .

My friends at work have asked me to re-stock my supply here because I didn't have any more birthday cards, so this is one of the ones I made. I actually was trying to get all my stuff together to bring to my mom over Thanksgiving as she's putting a booth together for the month of December. Making the birthday cards was just a little bonus!
I'll post the other pictures of the stuff that I made for the booth over the next couple days.
Outside: Wishing you
Inside: a Happy Birthday!
The paper was from a stack that had all sorts of texted papers - Happy Birthday, Friends, I love you, etc. I mimicked the "W" from the paper to make the one for wishing. The yellow stickered letters are making memories brand.

Happy Holly-days!

Here's a picture of the smaller bag that I've made up.  These bags are colored (instead of just white like the larger bags).  This design actually matches a card that I made that says the same thing - Happy Holly-days!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is coming so quickly.  Lots of stuff to make before it comes!

Hi!

As I've mentioned before, one of the reasons that I've made cards is to send to my grandma.  Little fun things like this -- a cheery hi! -- are messages that I send her.  We just got some good news about Grandma.  She's going to get a phone!  After being in the nursing home for over a month, she's realized that it's necessary to keep connected with her family.  Can't wait to talk to her soon!

Being Loved

I'm sure that you have days, just as I do, where you just need to know that you're loved. This quote by Charles Morgan is a neat way to put it: "There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved." My friend has one of those tear-off a day calendars and I just had to write down the quote.
Maybe today you need to share with someone special that you love them!

Gift Bags

As it got closer to the time we were doing the craft fair, both my mom and co-worker, Brooke, suggested that I make up some gift bags so it would be one-stop shopping. Here's the larger sized bag. I'll probably post the smaller ones soon. I did a variety of styles - birthday, friend, thinking of you, baby boy, baby girl, . . . We'll see how they do!

Bookmarks

Our business cards at work changed so I had about half a box that I hated to throw away.  I started thinking about what I could make and ta-da!  I attach the paper to the side that has all my personal information with some fantastic glue (Mono Multi) and then embellish away.

A friend at work picked these ones so I personalized them with my favorite font (Cheers by Wonderful Words).  I  made a bunch of these blank for personalization for the table that we had at a craft fair, but I think that I'm going to fill them in so that I can send them down to the space we have at the antique/flea mall.

i love you

i just love heidi grace materials!  i believe that both the paper and the stickers i used are items that she makes.  the simple design conveys the message!

many of the cards that i've posted are ones that i've made for a booth that my mom & sisters are maintaining at a flea market/antique mall.  oftentimes, i will make double of the card that i need so that i can supply the booth with some too.  although this has not been the most productive venture, it has helped build my confidence and i've made a variety of different things that i may not have before.

Photo Book

One of the neat things that my friend, Abby, told me about was covering cardboard books and making them your own.  I've made several different ones, mostly baby books, but I branched out to make this one for a friend who turned 16 recently.  She's a soccer player so I used that as theme.  Here are a few of the pages that I made.  It ended up being 9 pages.  With the extra paper on the pages, I found that putting ribbon under the cover helps keep it closed.

It'll be up to my friend to add the pictures and then tada! she'll have a fun momento to show off.

Giving Thanks

This is a combination of several different materials:  the sticker "plant kindness. . ." is from Heidi Grace and the brown frame and blue square is from a coordinating set from Colorbok.  I added the turquoise paper from what I had already and the two star brads.

Seems to me that you can't have enough Thank You cards.  I think that sharing thanks is one of the most important things you can do.  We have so much that we take for granted.  Is there someone in your life that you need to thank?

Praying for you!

I tried to mimic the design of the flower from the tag on the card.  Also, I copied the font to make the sentiment for the card.

Seeing this card makes me think about a friend who's going through some tough times.  Praying for strength and peace as you encounter this challenge.

Yummy treats!

Pizza Pinwheels

I like to try new recipes and found this one when I was checking out some coupons on-line. The link for the recipe is below. They were pretty easy to make and very delicious. We ate them as dinner, but I could see you making them as hors d'oeuvres for a party. Yummy!

Mine aren't quite as pretty as theirs, but we added ham chunks which added more substance to them.

Thanksgiving is Coming!

Although the picture quality isn't too great, this is a fall-ish, Thanksgiving card that I made.

Cover: counting my blessings
Inside: and you're one of them!

Happy Birthday!

This is another easy format to plug in different papers and embellishments, but is good because there are so many birthdays! In fact, I just made another one (same format) last night for a friend who has a birthday tomorrow. I used pink flowery papers and pink ribbon for it.

Calligraphy is another hobby of mine that comes in handy quite often it seems. I have done several sets of wedding invitations and a variety of other projects for people.

Hello!

This is the first card that I kept record of. My grandmother lives quite a distance away from me and I try to write her weekly. I tried to use bright colors so that it was cheery and included a verse written around the flower.

I've used this format several times with different patterned paper. It's easy and looks cute.

Baby Cards

With the birth of several nieces & nephews, I began exploring with baby prints.
As you can see, I mostly use simple designs with a few embellishments.
Several have quotes that are timeless & I've used on a variety of baby items.

A New Venture

This is a grand adventure for me as I start out blogging.  I want to share the crafts that I make as I have found inspiration from others' blogs.

I found out when I stopped teaching that I needed a creative outlet.  I started out scrapbooking, but needed something smaller & quicker.  Therefore, I started making cards for friends.  This has blossomed into a great hobby!

Please join me as I make a wish and jump into this new venture!
