We had a great time at Potter Park Zoo and got to see animals that we don't have at the Nashville Zoo. It was a smaller zoo, but we had an awesome time checking out all the attractions. Yay!

Carpenter Brothers

Part of the fun in visiting Michigan was with Travis' house. The family is working diligently to build the house starting from grading the land to digging the basement and now doing the framing. We got to get in the way and provide extra distractions.

 Uncle Tod helped Nathan and Zach make their mark on the house.

Although it had rained for a good part of the day, the late afternoon and evening were dry and didn't get impacted by the storms.

Stop on Our Trip

On our way to Michigan, we took a slight detour and stopped in Louisville at a farm that allowed you to touch and feed animals. We missed the feeding time, but we got to see a few animals.

 Nathan was in his element with the horses!

 Zachy wasn't so sure. This was about as close as he'd get to them.

It's Zachy's Birthday

Although we've only made posters for the last couple years for Nathan's birthday, it is expected for birthdays now and had to be done for Zachy. I asked Nathan what to put on Zach's and he said right off a cat. That's what I thought too!

 When I got him out of bed this morning, he looked over and saw it and made his cute cooing sound that he makes when he sees kitties. It was sweet.

 Poor thing was woken up at 5:45am on his birthday. We were lucky to get this picture.

 We tried to do a brothers one, but Zach was over it.

To get this one for Facebook, I had to drag him over and hold him down. 

We really didn't have time to open gifts (as the birthday boy was still half asleep) and there was no room in the car to bring them so we decided to save them for our return. The big one would really need to be opened and played with immediately and that wasn't going to happen at 6:00am.

After Bath Reading

After bath time, we usually have time to read a few books. Tonight, Daddy got the chance to read to both boys.

The fireworks have been pretty bad in the evenings so Nathan's been wearing his headphones. Then we had a bad storm so basically it's crying and fun all around. They do seem to help him and he's been doing better (less crying).

4th of July Fun

We had a great day off in the middle of the week. Our first thing was to take a long bike ride. We rode to our friend, Mrs. Millie Anne's house. It was about a 3.6 mile trip. 

Look at the sunflower! Two blooms!!

Then in the evening we went to a 4th of July celebration being hosted by our church. There were free inflatables for the kids (Nathan LOVED them!) and a playground which both boys enjoyed. We didn't stay for the fireworks, but it was a great time.

 Oh... oh I can see it's on the index finger...

I see! He's picking up a spaghettio on his finger!

Patriotic Brothers

Daycare encouraged the kids to wear red, white, and blue so we got ahead of the game and were patriotic a day early.

Bunnies Again

We looked out the back door before church and saw two bunnies. The adult is back in the middle and the baby is on the patio.

 Open the door and...

 the baby gets freaked out and starts running away.

Can't get enough of those bunnies!!!
