Another project... but no pictures

Here is a picture of my work area.  Unfortunately, I neglected to get pictures of the book I made.  I worked on it all week for my friend's birthday and hurried to pull it together Saturday night for Sunday at church.  So, all I can do is show you the after-effects of the process.
I made a book for my friend's first missions trip to Honduras.  She is doing a medical missions trip so I included pages with medical items on them.  I'm thinking that I may be able to get the book back from her, but we'll see.

Super User Cookies

Here are the special ones that I made for my co-workers -- Super Rick, Super Mary, Super Gary, Super Beverly, and Super Abby.

We are having an introductory class Wendesday for Super Users on the new computer software that we're putting into place this fall. We thought that doing the Superman theme would be funny. It took me about 2 hours to make them -- rolling out the dough through decorating. Hopefully they'll be a hit!

Another busy day...

I've been trying to come up with ideas of what to do with leftover business cards and have found another idea.  I've already posted a couple of these cards over the past couple weeks, but decided to take a plunge and make up a bunch.  These are all 2"x 3" and I cover the side with the business information.  Then, the backside is available to write on.  Like I've said before, they sort of are like "Pass It On" cards.
Here are the 6 cards for my co-worker.  She had asked me to do up a set of cards every quarter and this is the second set.  The card in the bottom left is sidways (oops!) and you saw it back last weekend.  The other 5 cards I made up today.  She wanted 3 Birthday ones and 3 Thank Yous.  I used a variety of supplies -- circle letters, flower die cuts, and a bunch of different papers.  I think they turned out pretty good!

Planting, planting, planting!

Here's the before and after -- we got a hydrangea bush and used left over mulch to make this little corner area better than the eye-sore that it was.

We decided to add some flowers to the front of the house.  After talking for a couple years about getting a barrel and putting it up in the front corner, we finally got it together!  We put a gerber daisy and marigolds in the barrel.
Here's the front door step.  We planted the leftover marigolds, begonias, and another plant in pots and set them on the steps.  We have a rose bush (with mint growing all around it) that has been at the house for over 10 years.  It's getting ready to bloom for the 2nd time this year.
It was a busy day!  It took over 3 hours to get all this done.  We also planted red begonias by the bushes in the front flower bed.  Hopefully we can keep them alive! :)
