Hands

Isn't this just the cutest?!  The little guy is holding his hands while sleeping (and not liking me take his picture - can you see the furrow to his brow?!).

He definitely is figuring out what to do with those hands.  Nathan will take offense when Zach touches him, but I think it's just comical since there's no way that Zach could ever hurt him.  He will suck on his fingers occasionally, but still will take the paci too.

Our Anniversary

I searched some of my old posts to see if I could find a wedding picture of us, but the best I could find was a recap and a picture of a photo in the post I wrote on our 10 year anniversary. (You can see it here.)

Despite our anniversary falling on a weekend, it was not relaxing and we really didn't get to celebrate.  Barry had to work Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving Thursday and was wiped.  I was wiped from taking care of the boys and getting up in the night.  Barry's health has been somewhat better, but then he came down with sinus junk.  Basically, we could have had an awesome pity party. :(

So, I hope that we'll get to do some anniversary celebration after things settle down and we're back to better health.  In the meantime, here's a selfie that we took to commemorate 12 years.

Cutie!

Despite Daddy's working schedule, we hung out some on Saturday afternoon/evening. This cutie ate it up!!!

Football Time

The boys wore their Lions football clothing in the hopes to cheer on the team to a Thanksgiving Day victory. Go, Lions!!!

We had a great Thanksgiving day together and with Ms. Lora eating our lasagna, garlic bread, and asparagus. Too bad Daddy has to work Friday and Saturday. So much for a holiday.

Brothers Reading

Isn't this just the sweetest sight?! Of course the book is about a cowboy, horses, and cows (Nathan's favorite things).

Two for Tuesday

Zach has finally gotten big enough that his arms reach the toys on his chair. He can make the steering wheel turn and hit the items on the sides. Of course any time I try and film him he stops!

He looks passed out here but I must have just caught him in a blink!

Cold Weather

Baby, it's cold outside! :)

Poor thing didn't know what was going on!  We woke up to temperatures in the 20s and had to pull out hats and gloves to wear with our coats.  Zach's hat was a tad big and it kept going over his eyes.  He did not like it.

He's still struggling with a cold/cough and it's miserable.  Please pray for his improved health.

Ride 'Em Cowboy

After months of looking at this horse (at a local grocery store), Nathan was brave to sit on it in July (with Aunt Chelle and Brianna).  He had been asking about seeing it again.  Now, he still won't ride it, but today he wanted his legs in the stirrups.

Another saying that Nathan frequently says is "Wait uh me!" He truly dislikes if someone gets ahead of him no matter the reason and thinks that you're going to leave him behind. We've never left him behind before, so I don't know if it's an unrealistic fear, or what.

Doggy Fun

The weather has turned chilly and we dressed in layers today.  We pulled out the cute boots for a little bit of warmth for Zach.

We're to the weekend again and very thankful that Barry is feeling a bit better.  We were able to slow down a little bit due to an unexpected day off on Thursday for Barry (Nathan was out of daycare) and that it was rainy so we couldn't do outside work.  Barry's continuing to see the chiropractor and we hope that the pain in his leg will be gone soon.  Please keep praying!

Brothers

Nathan continues to impress me with how well he's adapted to having Zach in our family.  He loves on him and cares for him in a wonderful way.  He mimics us in speaking to him.  In fact, he's started asking Zach how his day was!

A sweet event happened when the boys were sitting together on the couch.  I had said it was time for Zach to go to bed.  Nathan gives him a kiss and then decides that he should sing his version of "Jesus Loves Me" (singing a song is part of the bedtime routine).  When he was done, he tells me that Zach's ready now!  What a sweetie!

Two for Tuesday

Whatcha doing Momma?!

The boys were super cute. Zach was holding Nathan's fingers and they were just talking to each other. Then Zach's attention would go back to his chair and the cycle would start again. Too bad we can't hold this moment.

It's Football Time

Yay team!!!
Were you missing a football?!

Despite his vaccines on Friday, Peanut here was doing pretty good. He had a low grade fever Saturday morning but then seemed to be fine.
4 Month Stats:
13 lbs 3.5 oz (25th percentile!)
25 inches
He grew 3 inches and gained almost 4 pounds in two months. Yay, Zach!!!

First Birthday Party

Nathan had his first birthday party today. It was the 3rd birthday of one of the boys in his daycare class. They were in the church just down the street, in their gym. There was inflatables and Mickey Mouse and Minnie. "Mickey waved at me!" He was pretty freaked out by Mickey & Minnie and had to know where they were all the time. He had a grand time though which was awesome.

Daddy & the Boys

We tried to do a picture of the boys but with coats on and car seat it just didn't turn out as cute.

Barry had the epidural finally (6 weeks after the beginning of all this) yesterday. He was totally pain free for about one hour and then had the pain creep back in. He's supposed to take it easy (no lifting or bending) for a couple days.

Please keep praying!

Momma & Boys

We were actually a little early this morning before heading off to our day. Nathan was playing with his necklace and Zach wasn't quite awake yet.
Nathan has been crawling around as either a horse or some type of dinosaur so it was unusual that he was just a boy today! (Proudly showing off one of his shirts Nana made)
We're midway through the week!

Two for Tuesday

After our bath, I couldn't resist snapping this picture of Zach. While he enjoys baths, once you wrap him up in the towel it's a mad dash to get him dried and dressed. For some reason he doesn't care for the dressing part.

Here's Nathan at about the same age looking super cute in the monkey towel. June 2012

Fall Boys

To continue with the fall themed pictures, here are a few more from the Sunday photo shoot.
I'm not giving you the best ones as they'll come to you in print form, but here's a little taste of what you may receive.
Both boys with their tongues out!

Cheesy grin

Ummm, this was not going to work from the get-go!  Nate's eyes are closed and poor Zach looks like he's about to cry. (He didn't though, because he rarely does.)
This guy is going places (ha ha - can you see the shapes on his shirt?!)

4 Months Old

Woo hoo!  He's four months old.  I couldn't resist doing a fall themed picture on this beautiful fall day. I love when he smiles and laughs!  It just makes my heart melt.

We'll get his stats on Friday when he goes for his appointment, but I feel sure that he's gained a few pounds and should be in a better percentile for his weight.  Love this boy!

Adorable

I was trying to get a picture of Zachy playing with his keys, but once I set him in the chair, he didn't want them any longer.  Oh well.  I got these cute pictures of him any way.

Bath Time

I think I've mentioned before that Zach has done well with a bath, but Nathan especially takes delight in helping. He'll help with washing but he loves helping empty the tub of water!

Couldn't get one picture with them both looking could we?!

Giraffe Fun

Zach's relaxing after a fun Sunday at church.

Hmmmm... What fun can I plan for tonight?!
