Santa?

Santa.  Who ever thought that our child would care about Santa?! Neither Barry nor I grew up believing in Santa, but ever since a certain someone saw the Paw Patrol episode where the dogs help Santa, that is all he can talk about. Seriously - for months he has talked about Santa.

We knew our church was having their annual outreach with Santa and thought this would be a safe environment to check Santa out.  Nathan's biggest concern was to see the reindeer and wasn't so sure he wanted to see the jolly fellow.  There were different activities to do while you waited your turn and then we were up!  He did surprisingly well.  Told Santa that his daddy was sick and that this was his baby, and various other chit-chat remarks.  Santa tried to ask him what he wanted for Christmas and Nathan totally blew him off.  He didn't know that was even something to talk about.

We're not sure how to proceed with all of this, but each day Nathan asks about presents and when Santa is going to come.  We're working hard on talking about Jesus and the actual story of His birth.  He knows of baby Jesus and has had the nativity out, but this has thrown us for a loop.

He was very freaked out by the inflatable Santa.  Barry is forcing him to stand there!  Obviously Zach was enthralled by the whole experience! :)
