New Glasses

Today

We've been sitting on the new prescription hoping that we could wait it out a bit longer, but Nathan had been having consistent issues with the glasses pinching him that it was long enough. We were glad to be able to finally shop at Lenscrafters which gave us flexibility in scheduling, but disappointed in the cost. Thankfully he takes good care of his glasses and it's not a trial to keep him in them.

Just Like Daddy

We tried... Well, I tried. I wanted to take a picture of Barry & Zach like what we had of Barry & Nathan when he wore the "Just Like Daddy" shirt. Below is the best I could get. The mosquitos were thick and the children uncooperative. Oh well. It's the thought, right?!

Flashback Friday

 We had an unusual night on Tuesday as the car had a flat tire on Barry's way to pick me up. We used fix a flat to get the car to the tire shop and then Barry had to wait on them to fix it. So, the boys and I got to spend time together.

We made a couple puzzles.

Then I drew pictures with Nathan's prompting. I was pretty impressed with how the flatbed and dinosaur turned out. I asked Nathan which two letters were the same and he picked out the Ds!

Thankfully the car got fixed as the next afternoon it poured! What a blessing to have friends who can help and good guys at Discount Tire!

Moving Up

It was a sad day last Friday. Our little guy had his last day in the baby house. Even though he's just barely one, isn't crawling or walking, they needed him to move up to make room for more babies. All I can say is we've had a rough couple weeks.  They tried to have him stick to the new schedule (one nap) the week he was leaving and that was rough and then this week actually being in the room and only having one nap a day with all the other changes has been tough too (plus he has a cold again!).

It's rough growing up.

We found this fantastic tshirt at Goodwill for $1 a couple months ago. Just the perfect thing for our littlest fan.

Weekend Fun & Done

Since there were so many people that were here for the weekend, we stayed at my sister's in-laws.  They had lots of neat toys and Zachy had fun on this trike.
