My Boys

These handsome guys were just hanging out! :)

Well, we've decided to hang up the hat on potty-training.  He only went once the whole week in the toilet.  He would never tell you that he had to go and it was a fight at times to get him in the bathroom.  So, the signs he was giving us weren't quite enough yet.  We'll try again.

13 1/2 weeks

There's definitely a difference between the first and second pregnancies!  Not only the morning sickness stuff, but with showing already.  It seemed forever before anyone (or even us) could tell there was a baby, but this time, I was having to wear big bulky sweaters to work (since I wasn't spilling the beans yet!) and having to figure out how to keep my pants up without buttoning them!

It's been fun to share with co-workers, daycare, and friends at church.  People have been very encouraging and we just continue to pray for this little ones' health.

Exciting News

We posted on facebook some exciting news...
Nathan's no longer going to be an only child!
We took this picture around Christmas time and included it in Christmas cards for family and friends to share the good news.  I just had my follow-up appointment with the doctor on January 7 and Barry was able to come this time.  The baby wasn't cooperating and we weren't able to hear the heartbeat, but the doctor did another ultrasound and we saw the baby.  The heart was beating and the baby even moved on the screen!  We're hopeful that soon the yucky first trimester symptoms will go away and I'll be back to normal.  It was definitely reassuring to see the baby and exciting to be a third of the way through (13 weeks!).

Olaf

Nathan was pretty excited about this shirt that Nana found for him.  He picked it out to wear today.  Another gift he got for Christmas was a stuffed Olaf that talks and sings.  So, he was pressing it's arm (for it to sing/talk) since he was excited about the snowman/Olaf (depends on the moment as to what he'd call it!).

Potty-training is going slow.  He has only gone once in the toilet at daycare, but we're trying to be consistent.  We'll see.

Pull-Ups

This is an exciting day!
We are trying to potty-train.  Nathan was excited to pick the design on the Pull-Up and posed with his "crazy hair" (that's what he's been saying about his hair -- it's crazy!).

Happy Monday!

Yee-Haw!

As you may have seen earlier, Nathan got a horsey from Papa-Nana for Christmas.  He was enjoying the horsey and I had to catch him riding around.

Taking Down the Greens

What else would you do on the 1st except take down the greens?!  Since we came back from Papa-Nana's, Nathan hasn't been interested in having the Christmas lights on.  When we told him that we were taking the tree down, he was excited.  It didn't take too long to get the ornaments off and the rest of the items picked up.  He even decided to pack up the nativity scene (leaving out the camel, donkeys, and sheep!).  Have you gotten your Christmas decorations down yet?
