Sunday Morning Fun

Thankfully the last two mornings Nathan has gotten up at 5:20am!  We were so happy!  As you can see, Daddy fell asleep on the couch while Nathan was watching his shows.

Cow Bites & a Dog Bed

Nathan finally got his cow bites!  Earlier in the week we had driven past Chick-fil-A on our way to get some gas.  Nathan kept calling out for cow bites, but we weren't planning to eat out.  When we turned to go home, he cried!

Friday night we went to get some cow bites and as we turned into the parking lot, you would have thought that he had won the lottery.  He was so excited to come to Chick-fil-A!

As we were running errands this morning, Nathan and Daddy went over to the pet store while I was grocery shopping.  I got this picture as a text.  Someone was having too much fun! :)

Rocking Out

I put this shirt with the guitar on it for Nathan to wear today.  He was a little unsure about the guitar so I pulled out his play one to remind him.  He then decided to serenade us with his rock-n-roll music and dance moves while breakfast was being cooked.  He enjoyed being a rock star for a day!

New Glasses

I've been negligent to point out that Nathan got new glasses frames.  The week before his follow-up appointment, one of the kids at daycare broke his frames.  Knowing it would take a week for the replacement to be made, we had to struggle through that week with the old frames and hope they would last through to the doctor's visit.  Then, once we got the glasses, we ended up going back 2 different times for them to adjust them so that Nathan could actually wear them.

Now we're a week and a half out from that time and it seems like they're working okay.

Swimming

It was such a beautiful day today, that we swam not just once but twice today!

We couldn't quite figure out why it was so funny, but over and over Nathan would lay down, sit up, and then laugh and laugh.  Silly boy!

This isn't the first time that Nathan has played ball, but we were trying to find some things to do outside while we aired out the house from bombing it (fleas, ick!).

Boy!  Time flies!  Our cutie is getting into everything.  He's enjoying playing inside and outside and is doing his best to communicate with words. If we could only get the waking up early thing figured out! :)

Happy Father's Day

We didn't really get to give Daddy a surprise, but we did get to share our love for him.

We went out Saturday afternoon and got to see the goats.  There are 4 babies now!

I don't know if because they were small that it made Nathan think they were okay to pet, but he would go after them to try and get them.

At Daddy's Work

I had to take Nathan into Nashville for his eye appointment so we dropped off Daddy at work and visited for a few minutes.

 Needed to catch up on some reading!

"Okay.  I've got the computer if you can catch the phone!"

The eye doctor says to keep up with wearing the glasses and hopefully at the next appointment in 4 months, Nathan will have enough verbal skills to tell the doctor what he can and can't see.  We're still praying that he won't have to wear a patch, so we'll see what happens.

So the saga with the early morning wakings continues... ARG!  This little guy is averaging a 4:30 wake up over the last few days.  Between him and the cats who are being crazy, we are just not getting much sleep at night.  What can you do?

Riding the Train

At the zoo, there was a little train that you could ride and see some of the animals.  We got to see zebra, an ostrich, and some horses.

It was a great experience! :)

Visit to the Zoo!

My company had a special day at the zoo.  We were very excited since Nathan had never been to a zoo before and my only previous visit to the Nashville one had been when I ran in the Zoo Run Run.

We decided to be there when it opened at 9am (because, hey, we were up at 4:50am and had time to kill!) and stay until lunch.  Then we figured Nathan would fall asleep on our way home (and he did -- before we made it out of the parking lot!).  We got to go around and see the animals and then have a good lunch before it got extra hot.

Bunny Fun

So, there is another animal fascination in Nathan's life - bunnies!

He likes to look all through the yard and specifically targets the couple places that we've seen bunnies.

Mrs. Jackie's had a few in her yard so that's what he's looking for.

Now, whenever he sees big yards, he'll start yelling "Bunny?"  "Where are you Bunny?"  Too funny.

We had a such a good time hanging out with Nana & Papa and running around doing errands.  It was a great visit!  Can't wait to do it again! :)

Nathan got into the toys at Nana's!  There are all sorts of fun things that are from me and my siblings growing up and then other things along the way that have been picked up.

 Of course, Nathan found all the animals and loved playing with the different trucks.
